Swansea, United Kingdom Big Blue Adventures Full time

**About Us**

Here at Big Blue Adventures, it's all about living a life full of good vibes. Say goodbye to those Monday blues, with a new adventure that's full of variety, exploring and exciting challenges.

Group adventure travel and events is fast-paced, and you can't be a typical Monday to Friday 9-5 person, but it is super fun, active, social, rewarding and has great travel perks. So we enjoy the ride and make sure we play hard as well as work hard for our customers, and each other.

Our work environment includes:

- Positive small team with family vibes
- Inclusive - your voice is heard and ideas welcomed
- Food and travel expenses provided during our trips
- Work-from-home days (your role will be mostly WFH, but we need you in the region of south Wales for hosting & delivery duties)
- Casual work attire
- On-the-job training
- Other professional training opportunities on request
- Relaxed atmosphere
- International workforce (you will need to join us in Portugal and other destinations)
- Adventure Be ready for socials and training based around surf, coasteering and much more

**Responsibilities**:

- Events and group travel administration; using software’s such as Google Drive, Trello and Slack to effectively complete tasks and communicate throughout the planning phase. This will include you taking the lead on your own group events, as well as supporting colleagues on their groups
- The booking of outdoor activities, a range of group accommodation, local travel, F&B, meetings and events while staying within budget. Ensuring all details are correct and that you manage these package elements throughout any potential changes in the event timeline
- Sales: Pick up and lead on warm inbound sales enquiries, qualifying new leads via online (or by phone) meetings, followed by creating attractive online tailor-made itineraries and proposals
- Delivery and hosting of group adventures and events. The cherry on-top is for sure getting to travel and host the adventures in person Your hosting duties will include going on a range of outdoor activities; importantly carrying on that customer connection while also helping us film the events using cameras such as GoPros while coasteering for example. In addition, your hosting duties will include itinerary management - staying calm under unforeseen changes that you will need to manage as a team or on your own, events management of workshops and parties, working with local transfer companies, and ensuring the food and drink plans are delivered accurately
- Always provide warm, professional, and flexible customer service: like us, excellent customer service should be in your DNA So you must naturally be a person who goes the extra miles to help others and be driven to deliver 5* results, time after time

**Must haves**:

- Excellent computer and administrative skills
- Previous experience working in group travel and / or events management (ideally 3+ years)

- A love for travel, watersports and outdoor activities
- Highly organised with attention to detail
- Happy working in a fast-paced environment with an adaptable approach to change
- Confident and independent

**Please note**: Due to the nature of this role working in travel and events, this is not a fitting match for someone who needs regular Monday to Friday, 9 - 5. This role will provide a lot of variety with exciting travel opportunities within our destinations. As a result, regular weekend work and weeks away are to be expected during high season, albeit with plenty of notice to plan your life calendar.

This is a largely WFH role, while you will also be expected to join us in co-working and potentially a new office in Wales in the future. The company is growing and we always need to adapt to a changing demands in our enviroment, so we need flexible, self-motivated professionals who can adapt with us on this journey
