**About the role**

As a Grounds and Gardens Assistant you’ll work as part of a team to develop the estate’s grounds, gardens, sports areas, lakes, play areas and woodland. Delivering high standards throughout the grounds and gardens to enhance the reputation of the hotel and providing an excellent guest experience.

Some of your responsibilities include:

- Knowledge and understanding of the way in which we care for, manage and develop identified garden areas, including soil cultivation, digging, forking, mulching, watering, raking, weeding, edging, pruning, seed sowing, bed preparation and planting.
- Maintain and use a wide range of tools and powered equipment
- Ensure and promote the Health and Safety of yourself and others
- Inspection of the playground. (Brownsea)
- Welcome and communicate with visitors to the Gardens, including giving talks and answering questions.

**Essential skills you’ll need**
- A keen interest in Grounds and Gardens
- Good work ethic, Attention to detail,
- Willingness to learn, Enthusiastic personality
- Full Driving License
