Main Duties:

- Planning of customer orders into loads and ensuring customer service is maintained as per agreed SLA’s (Service Level Agreements).
- Optimise best cost efficiency for outbound distribution.
- Complete Purchase Orders and GRN details for each haulage transaction.
- Ensure strong communication with Westland Sales team and liaise directly on matters regarding customer satisfaction.
- Produce a daily report detailing picking requirements and provide information for the Warehouse Management team to schedule workload patterns.
- Compilation of agreed KPI’s within the Transport department.
- Promote strong working relationships with current and new suppliers and assist in the negotiation of haulage rates and contracts.
- Continue to manage and improve the processes used in the everyday running of the Transport team.
- Manage and develop the Transport team.

Essential Criteria:

- Previous experience within a Transport Coordinator role.
- Recent experience in an administrative role in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Must be an effective communicator and confident on the phone / Teams with all levels of management.
- Minimum of 5 GCSE’s A-C including Math and English or equivalent.
- Possess excellent attention to detail with the ability to work accurately and timely.
- Ability to work under pressure and with a positive attitude to flexible working.
- Computer literate, proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
