Playing a lead role in shaping the strategic direction of pricing and promotional strategy for the business, the **Head of Pricing** will be instrumental in shaping, developing and implementing the Currys pricing and promotional strategy. The role will initially work very closely with the core Pricing Project team and through a strategic review of pricing, cement the long-term role. Longer term, the role will own and guide the customer value proposition within Currys, with a principle focus on delivery through creation of appropriate tools, guidelines and interactions with senior members of the business.

**The Head of Pricing will**:
Initially work with the pricing project team to define the pricing strategy for Currys
Unlock benefit through better planned promotions, sharing insights and becoming the key lead on improved pricing decisions
Create and maintain an environment conducive for the day-to-day delivery of Pricing activity, embedding and utilising fully all pricing tools
Direct the creation of a price and promotional hierarchy, including base price, promotions and the use of voucher codes & other forms of hidden discount within the business
- Identifying specific levers, market and competitive trends that drive our performance now and in the future
- Define pricing and promotional review processes and implement
- Identifying, analysing and implementing opportunities to optimise pricing, promotions and trade investment to maximise profit
- Identify underlying trends and performance impacts for pricing, marketing activities and trials
- Able to identify change needs, understand the functions existing practices and coach/train colleagues into improved ways of working

**Key Skills, Qualifications & Experience**:

- Ability to implement change within a complex and fast paced business
- Ability to think strategically, identifying short and long terms requirements to the same problem and how to merge them
- Preferably 5 years + Experience in Pricing and Customer level Analysis preferably within an FMCG marketplace
- Experience of working with senior level stakeholders within an organisation to gain support for major changes and key decisions
- Experience of full project lifecycle from concept through to implementation

**Desirable**:

- MBA or Professional Qualifications (CIMA, ACA)
- Experience of vendor management
- Experience of systems implementation
