**What you’ll be responsible for**:

- To undertake assessments of clients referred to the team based upon the appropriate use, interpretation, and integration of data from a variety of sources including psychological tests, self-report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations and semi-structured interviews with clients, family members and others involved in the client’s care, as appropriate and commensurate with skills and competencies.
- To plan and implement formal psychological treatment and/or management of a client’s mental health problems, based upon an appropriate conceptual framework of the client’s problems, and employing methods of proven efficacy.
- To implement a range of psychological interventions for individuals, carers, families and groups, adjusting and refining psychological formulations drawing upon different explanatory models and maintaining a number of provisional hypotheses.
- To evaluate and make decisions about treatment options taking into account both theoretical and therapeutic models and complex factors concerning historical and developmental processes that have shaped the individual, family, or group.
- To be responsible and accountable for the assessment, treatment, and discharge of clients whose problems are managed by psychologically based care plans.
- To provide psychological advice guidance and consultation to other professionals contributing directly to clients’ formulation, diagnosis, and treatment plan.
- To undertake risk assessment and risk management for individual clients and to provide advice to other professions on psychological aspects of risk assessment and risk management.
- To act as care coordinator, taking responsibility for initiating planning and review of care plans including service users, their parents/carers, referrers, schools, and others involved the network of care.
- To communicate in a skilled and sensitive manner, information concerning the assessment, formulation and treatment plans of clients under their care and to monitor progress during the course of both uni
- and multi-disciplinary care.

The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above.

**You’ll have the following qualification/experience**:

- Qualified in CBT or currently completing a CBT course which substantially contributes to meeting the Minimum Training Standards as defined by the BABCP, BPS etc. e.g., a course, which following completion, one can embark on the process of accreditation.
- A recorded/registered qualification in one of the following at graduate level in nursing, social work, occupational therapy, arts therapy, Child Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner or within psychological therapy.
- Evidence using the career framework of training in mental health and experience working in a stepped care service for anxiety and depression.
- Demonstrable experience of working in CYP mental health services
- Skills and experience of working with children, young people and families around a range of emotional/mental health, behavioural/additional health/developmental needs.
- Ability to meet agreed /specified service targets.
- Ability to manage competing demands / manage a caseload.
- Experience with routine outcome monitoring
- Experience of working within a multicultural framework.
- Experience of teaching and liaising with other professional groups
