Specialist Registrar General Surgery

We are seeking for skilled and dedicated General surgery Specialist Registrar to join our Surgical team
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing comprehensive pre-operative assessments and evaluations of patients scheduled for surgical procedures.
- Assisting in the planning and coordination of surgical interventions, including pre-operative preparations and post-operative care.
- Participating in surgical procedures across a range of specialties, including but not limited to gastrointestinal surgery, vascular surgery, and trauma surgery.
- Providing expert surgical assistance to senior consultants during operations, demonstrating proficiency in surgical techniques and procedures.
- Monitoring and managing the post-operative recovery of patients, assessing their progress and addressing any complications or concerns.
- Conducting regular ward rounds and outpatient clinics to review patients' surgical progress and outcomes.
- Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, including anaesthetists, nurses, and allied health professionals, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participating in emergency on-call rota duties, providing timely and effective surgical care to patients presenting with acute surgical conditions.
- Contributing to the education and training of junior medical staff, medical students, and other healthcare professionals through teaching and supervision.
- Engaging in continuous professional development activities to enhance surgical skills, knowledge, and expertise.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid GMC registration
- Medical degree from recognised institute
- Commitment to patient safety, quality improvement, and professional development
Pay: £60.00-£75.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week
