**Position**:
**£55,000 - £70,000 per annum, based on experience**

**Full time, permanent - 35 hours per week**

**Hybrid working, London Covent Garden (3 days per week)**

We are looking for a fully qualified accountant, who is proactive and ambitious, to join our finance team to partner with our property division, supporting the financial management of 420 properties across five estatetes.

As the Finance Business Partner to our Managing Director for Residential and Property, you’ll be expected to provide technical accounting and inform strategic decision making for this source of revenue. We will be looking for someone to understand our sites from the ground up and analyse and model different opportunities to maximise returns.

Duties includes, but are not limited to:

- Production of all aspects of monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts using JET reporting tool or most relevant tool at any given time.
- Ensure key control and major balance sheet accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis: accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, maintain component accounting with reconciliations, review of general ledger.
- Preparation of quarterly VAT returns and ONS statistics.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budget and cash flow management.
- Working with the estate managers to provide clarity on capital expenditure (Cap-Ex) and repairs and maintenance requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of board pack and other committee reports.
- Support the MD of Supported Living with detailed financial analysis and advice consistent with the property services strategy.
- Business partner across the 5 estates, driving more open and consistent communication across the teams.
- Deal with queries from auditors promptly and effectively.
- Support the Head of Finance in the review of systems and upgrades.
- Understand the property stock condition reports and work with the MD of Supported Living, property consultant and estate staff to ensure work is carried out appropriately and cost effectively.
- Work with the fundraising team to ensure projects are funded externally if appropriate.
- Annual Service charge accounts and annual service charge calculations for all the residents. Ensure compliance with legislation, regulation, policy and best practice.
- Act as an advisor and support to the housing teams as they undertake their duties in relation to managing tenancy agreements.

**Requirements**:
You will be an experienced accountant with a professional qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) and have previous accounting experience in the real estate, housing or property sectors. You’ll have expert knowledge of service charges, rents and budget creation, as well as IT/MSExcel skills.

As a business partner, you will be required to demonstrate your ability to work collaboratively across departments and hold excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to drive and implement changes in strategy. You will have the aptitude to identify, analyse and resolve financial weaknesses, implementing improvements and changes in process.
