Role:
**Financial Investigator**

Contract Length: Anticipated 6 months

Location: Manchester - onsite

Our client is looking to hire a Financial Investigator for approximately 6 months.

Key responsibilities:

- Lead, develop and progress financial investigation in accordance with relevant policy and legislative requirements, and to maximise the effective use of POCA and other legislation.
- Take on lead financial investigation roles within a larger case team, ensuring all legal and operational requirements are met on the way to preparing cases for submission for charge advice and/or judicial outcomes.
- Analysis of financial material, predominantly bank statements.
- Complete mandatory training and maintain relevant Financial Investigator accreditation.
- Present evidence in court with clarity, integrity, and professionalism.

Key skills & experience:

- Financial investigator qualified with the ability to produce production orders to present as court
- Financial restraint and confiscation qualified is preferable but will consider without
- Accredited Financial Investigator or with a lapsed accreditation within the reactivation period
- Experience of managing serious / complex financial investigations through the justice system.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly the ability to produce written work to a high standard and convey complex financial detail to less knowledgeable parties.
- Competent in using IT (particularly MS Excel and work), including creating and being able to understand spreadsheets.
- Some travel is required as are occasional overnight stays.
