Interim HR Manager

HRLife are delighted to be working with our client who has a broad product portfolio and is focused on providing the best service to its customers to help them find an Interim HR Manager for an initial 9 month period.
Working in a small team, reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will be a broad generalist HR Professional who is happy to turn their hand to most things. This is an exciting time to be joining the business as they embark on a period of change as therewill be lots of projects to get involved with and plenty to do
Key responsibilities include;
- Supporting the CPO and taking a lead on all HR related projects
- Managing the recruitment strategy and process across an operational workforce, including working with the central teams and defining what this looks like for the future
- Partnering with line managers and coaching them to constantly improve employee experience ensuring high performing, well rewarded and engaged employees
- Supporting employees and managers to resolve HR queries ensuring they follow the right processes, talk to the right people and get the right outcome
- Ensuring professional & confident management of complex disciplinary and grievance matters, coaching managers and supporting with documentation (letters, notes) at appeal stage
- Upskilling managers so they can confidently deal with absence management & performance management issues in their teams
- Preparing monthly HR metrics via collaborative working with central HR data teams and operational admin teams to provide insight driven action plans for the business
- Delivering basic training to people managers to ensure a consistent approach and best practice
- Delivering the wellbeing calendar of events and champion the importance of wellbeing with line managers and colleagues.
- Actively championing Diversity and Inclusion and embedding new initiatives
- Supporting the succession and talent management processes ensuring talented individuals are identified
This role would suit someone who has considerable experience of working in a commercial business who has previous experience of recruitment, including setting up strategies and making impactful changes. Ideally you’ll have worked previously in a multi-sitebusiness supporting an operational, largely blue collar workforce with prior experience of supporting a business going through large scale change with union exposure and TUPE knowledge.
This is a 9 month Fixed Term Contract initially covering a period of internal secondment.
Hybrid working - 4 days a week in the office and 1 at home. Keen for someone who enjoys being visible, wants to work in a great team and add value. Parking onsite. Great modern office facilities. On the Surrey/Hampshire/Berkshire border.
