We’ve have seen significant investment in the service in East Kent which will help keep more patients with respiratory disease at home and out of hospital. That’s where you come in. Due to service expansion we are looking for Band 4 Assistant Practitioners to join our well-established team in East Kent. This job is advertised as full-time but we will consider part-time of 30 hours in this role as a minimum.

Our service supports patients living with respiratory disease, with an emphasis on enablement and support in the community as part of their care pathway. We aim to enhance the quality of life for people living with respiratory disease, whatever stage they are at. We believe in innovation and working together to achieve the best results.

**Role Specific Responsibilities**: To provide high quality evidence based and individualised respiratory care to clients in the community setting thereby enhancing quality of life for patients with respiratory disease.

To assist the specialist nurses and allied healthcare practitioners in the planning, co-ordination and delivery of care to respiratory patients and in doing so support a whole systems approach for respiratory patients.

To offer educational support to clients, carers and members of the multidisciplinary teams on all aspects of respiratory management.

To assist in the management of a daily caseload of patients with respiratory disease across the locality, working independently without direct supervision. Assist in the delivery of an oxygen assessment service which is evidence based and according to British Thoracic Society guidelines.

Carry out specific respiratory investigations to support the ongoing management of respiratory patients and report results in a timely manner.

**Additional Working Pattern**: Mon - Fridays - 7.5 hrs a day
