**The Role**

Collaborating with Ship Managers and maintenance teams, our Technical Controllers oversee comprehensive asset management for our fleet of 9 ships within P&O Cruises and Cunard. Currently, we have openings for two positions.

This multifaceted role offers exposure to various facets within the Carnival UK Maritime function. Managing fixed contracts, planned maintenance, and urgent repairs across diverse domains, your responsibilities extend to ensuring safety and compliance. You'll also play a crucial role in logistics support for dry dock refits and contribute to crisis management as part of the Carnival UK emergency response team, among other responsibilities.

In the role of Technical Controller, you will:

- Act as the main point of contact for servicing needs
- Liaise with service providers for service visits, including statutory and planned maintenance and manage the end-to-end purchasing process for services
- Coordinate with contractors during the tender process
- Conduct supplier meetings to support operational objectives
- Create a weekly service planner and ensure timely requests
- Assist Superintendents with logístical and service intervention
- Ensure timely delivery for Office Administration requests
- Act as the senior point of contact with Supply Management
- Review and implement strategic asset management plans
- Identify cost efficiency opportunities and assist with cost control
- Plan, attend, and manage logistics for refits in dry docks and wet docks
- Attend ships regularly in Southampton and travel onboard each vessel annually (including occasional travel during planned projects, dry docks, and wet docks, up to 3 weeks)
- Provide availability as part of the Carnival UK emergency response team on a rotating 24/7, 365 days a year on-call roster

Our role categories range from CUK15 (entry level) to CUK1 (Brand President) so you can clearly see internal development opportunities. This role is a CUK09 and is offered on a full time, permanent basis, with hybrid working in our Southampton office, 3 days per week.

- A knack for problem solving and ability to use your initiative

- Experience of working in a fast paced technical environment with knowledge of logistics operations, purchasing systems and vendor management

Possessing a University Degree or Ship Management diploma in Health, Environment, Safety, Security (HESS) RA is desirable but not essential.
