The Business Administration Apprentice will be responsible for providing effective administrative assistance to the Dawsongroup Vans Limited (DGV) Finance and Accounts departments by supporting the team with the day-to-day requirements of the business. Full training will be provided in all areas.

The salary will be between £9,609.60- £19,838.00 - Under 18's will be paid £5.28 per hour and over 18's will be paid £10.90

**Working week**

Monday - Friday; 9.00am - 5.00pm with 1 hour lunch break.

Total hours per week: 35 hours a week

**Expected duration**

21 Months

**What will the apprentice be doing?**
- Inputting purchase ledger invoices, credit notes, debit notes etc onto the computer system
- Matching supplier invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes
- Approving for payment authorised invoices, credit notes, debit notes, etc
- Reconciling suppliers’ balances with suppliers’ statements
- Weekly payment runs including individual payments, as required
- Ensuring that the supplier queries are progressed to resolution in a timely manner
- All aspects of supplier liaison including any query letters to be sent to suppliers
- Setting up new accounts and amending existing accounts on the purchase ledger
- Providing general support and assistance to the Finance and Accounts departments on commercial, accounting and administration matters
- Any other duties as required by the Accounts Assistant or management team

- There is opportunity to move to a full-time permanent role after completion of the apprenticeship.
