An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly specialist Dietitian to work within our small, friendly dietetic team at Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This opportunity has developed following the internal promotion of the previous post holder.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative and proactive dietitian, with excellent clinical, communication and team working skills. Your role will primarily focus supporting the adult home enteral feeding caseload with the support of band 6 Dietitian in addition to adult community team leadership. The post holder will provide dietetic led clinics in addition to home visits. They will be based at Warrington Hospital.

The department in actively involved in student training placements and there is scope for the successful applicant to contribute significantly to this. There is an expectation to provide clinical supervision to selected staff.

A CQC-rated ‘Good’ organisation with ‘Outstanding’ features, it is working towards university hospital status having achieved teaching status in 2019 and is working in partnership with the University of Chester and others in this regard.

To utilise highly developed specialist skills in the assessment and treatment of complex nutrition support patients including home enteral feeding in a variety of settings including home visits and specialist outpatient clinics.

To take a clinical lead role in this specialist area of work, providing dietetic advice to a variety of disciplines.

To provide day to day team leadership for the community Dietitians and support staff including students.

To contribute to the development of specialist service and related policies.

You will be actively involved in the development, implementation and audit of patient care practices as part of clinical governance. We actively promote and encourage continuous professional development and have good access to IT and library facilities.

This post is a full time, permanent role and the post holder must have access to a car insured for work purposes.
