We are seeking a highly focused and passionate Senior Housing Support Officer to lead the delivery of our neighbourhood services for our Mile End estate.

**As a Senior Housing Support Officer, you will be responsible for**:

- Overseeing the delivery of high-quality housing services to our residents, ensuring that their needs are met and their outcomes are improved; to include tenancy and leasehold management, repairs, maintenance, and resident involvement.
- Leading a team of Housing Officers and Housing Support Officers, developing their skills and knowledge to provide a responsive, customer-focused and professional service to our residents
- Managing tenancy issues to include creation and termination of tenancies, sign ups, enforcement of tenancy conditions, tenancy audit checks and appropriate action where breaches may occur. Administering tenancies on our ERP systems.
- Supporting the lettings team by dealing with local letting functions including accompanies viewings, post offer administration and settling in visits.
- Deputising for the Neighbour Housing Manager, as business needs arise with full accountability for managing any situations that may arise.
- Provide support to deal with any emergency situations, including out of hours on an exceptional basis.

**To be successful in this role, you will need**:

- Robust experience of providing and managing housing support services.
- Proven line management experience of leading and developing a team.
- Knowledge of current legislation, policy and best practice relating to housing services.
- Excellent written & verbal communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
- A strong commitment to customer service and resident involvement with proven dispute resolution capabilities.
- The ability to work under pressure and prioritise competing demands.
- A flexible and adaptable approach to work.
- Proficient IT skills in MS Office and relevant ERP systems ie. Orchard
- A relevant qualification in housing or equivalent experience.
- Detailed knowledge of housing legislation and forthcoming changes and impact on service delivery.
