**Job Scope**:
We are looking for a PBS Specialist to join the Therapies Team. The primary responsibility of the PBS Specialist will be to roll out tier one interventions and system-wide PBS interventions across the company. This includes delivering proactive training, coaching, and mentoring to managers, deputy managers, and staff teams in tier one support strategies. The PBS Specialist will also support the development and implementation of high-quality PBS plans and provide guidance to staff for their effective implementation.

Additionally, the PBS Specialist will provide direct support to complement the Therapy Team's delivery of Positive Behaviour Support, Speech & Language, Occupational Therapy, and Multimedia through practice leadership and team skills development. The role involves reducing or eliminating the use of restrictive practices and focusing on proactive strategies to enhance the quality of life for the individuals supported.

Key responsibilities include coaching and mentoring Registered Managers in PBS proactive approaches and plan writing, managing the workload effectively, supporting clinician teams on-site, delivering training on proactive topics, collaborating with the Catalyst family and Therapies team, and ensuring the organization adheres to PROACT-SCIPr-UK® standards. The PBS Specialist will contribute to the development of learning materials, escalate safeguarding concerns, stay updated on knowledge and training, build relationships with families and the multidisciplinary team, document progress reports, attend team meetings, and support the skills development of individual team members.

Overall, the PBS Specialist will play a vital role in implementing proactive strategies, promoting person-cantered care, reducing restrictive practices, and improving the quality of life for individuals with challenging behaviours.

**Do you have?**
- Five GCSEs or equivalent including English and Maths
- Qualification in working with children and/or adults or to be willing to undertake one
- Experience in directly supporting people with learning disabilities and/or autism who have complex needs
- Knowledge of assessment tools and positive behaviour support processes including how to implement a behaviour support plan
- Full UK driving licence
