**Main Purpose of job**:
You will be responsible for leading the Digital Voices People and Culture function to ensure that all aspects of people and culture are being developed in line with best-practice principles as the group scales from 50 people to 150 people.
**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
- Setting the strategic direction for all People and Culture related functions of the business
- Ensuring all members of the P&C team maintain up-to-date knowledge and understanding of employment law and HR best practice to ensure advice and guidance is both accurate and up-to-date; and ensure management are appropriately updated on new employment legislation
- Defining best-practice in recruitment, to include on-going assessment of all recruitment practices as the organisation evolves to ensure all policies and procedures align with the company values, strategic goals and D&I charter.
- Continually review our D&I charter to ensure it remains in line with best practice in our industry, periodically review our working practices to make sure they are in-line with our charter, with the goal of fostering a truly inclusive environment for all employees.
- Ensure all people policies and procedures are fit for purpose for all employees in all legal jurisdictions as the business continues to evolve, including having responsibility for ensuring all employee resources are up to date, such as the employee handbook and the DV management guide.
- Ensure that as the company evolves there is continual re-assessment of the company’s HRIS systems and relationships with third party payroll and benefit providers, to ensure all employees are receiving their full legal and contractual entitlements.
- Provide guidance to the company leadership on best-practice regarding development and implementation of new and enhanced staff recognition and reward programs for a scaling organisation
- Review and ensure appropriate policies and procedures are in place to embed employee review cycles, objectives setting, PDPs and career conversations in the culture of the organisation and promote alignment to the Digital Voices values and goals.
- Partner with senior management to identify high-potential team members, develop retention plans and detailed career development and succession plans for the future leaders of the organisation.
- Partner with senior management and the CFO to review current organisation charts on a 6 monthly basis and develop recruitment and promotion/restructuring plans to ensure business readiness as we scale
- Design, build and lead L&D processes and policies in place to support all employees in reaching their full potential at Digital Voices, through personal development plans that align both with the employee’s career plans and the company goals.
- Design and implement an annual calendar of events to bring the organisation together with team building activities, knowledge sharing and structured training days, with a dual purpose of achieving L&D goals while fostering an atmosphere of collaboration and fun across departments in our remote-first environment.
- Develop a Digital Voices’ ethos to culture and L&D, that reflects the values we hold as a company and position us at the forefront of the Influencer Marketing industry. Ensure that the People & Culture team is regularly checking in and aware of skills gaps within the company.
- Take the lead on relationships with all third-party payroll and employee benefit providers to ensure that the services being provided are fit for purpose as we scale, and that the fees for those services are pro-actively managed. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of any billing passed to the finance team for payment and liaise with the CFO on any changes to service fees to be included in the company's financial plans.
- Proactively be the authority on all people-related matters and contribute to quarterly business updates with recruitment, employee engagement/retention, D&I and L&D metrics
**What we're looking for**
- Experience scaling a small stand-alone P&C function to a function fit for an organisation of +150 people
- Level 7 CIPD or equivalent
- Experience of leading a developing a team of P&C professionals
- Experience providing P&C best-practice recommendations to senior leadership, and participation at senior management level
- Excellent up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and best practice in policies and processes
- Strong communication skills with the ability to guide and influence as well as having the confidence to challenge current practices appropriately
- Able to shape and build culture in a changing environment and excited to work with a scaling company
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Able to think objectively, prioritise workloads and proactively solve problems with strong planning and organisation skills
