To undertake a significant clinical caseload to a high professional standard, using specialist knowledge and skills from theoretical and practical experience To be responsible for the supervision, education and assessment of junior staff, technical instructors and students To hold clinical responsibility for a designated caseload of patients, and to organise this efficiently and effectively with regard to clinical priorities and use of time, working without direct supervision. To act as a Champion for specific service areas (e.g. Falls, Dementia etc) attending meetings and training as required, as part of the Units service delivery To lead the therapy teams in-service training programme in conjunction with the other Band 6 therapists To actively participate in the education of physiotherapy students and work experience students To ensure that own clinical practice and that of line-managed staff meet the required professional standards for physiotherapy practice
