Plas Dyffryn Residential Home forms part of Ansa Care Concept. It is a progressive modern thinking family run organisation that provides Residential and Day Care following the principles of "Home Life", a Code of Practice for Residential Care, "Homes Are For Living”. We strive continually to meet and surpass the standards within the Well Being Act 2014 and the Regulations and Inspections of Social Care Wales Act 2016. Our mission is to provide high standards of care to the elderly so as to meet individual needs, thus ensuring an enriched quality of life unique to client’s own characteristics.

We are seeking a Cook to join our motivated and hardworking, friendly team to provide homemade cooking for 16 residents in a small residential home.

**Experience**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
Prepare and cook a variety of home style meals following established recipes and menus.

Ensure all meals are nutritious, well balanced, and meet the dietary requirements of residents, including low sodium, diabetic friendly and soft textured diets.

Maintain a clean, organised and sanitary kitchen environment, adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations.

Serve meals in a timely manner, ensuring they are presented tastefully.

**Qualifications/Experience**:
Relevant qualification in food/preparation cooking

Level 2 in Health & Safety and Food Hygiene desirable but training will be given if not yet acquired.

Proven experience as a cook

Sound knowledge of cooking methods and techniques

Knowledge of inventory management techniques to minimise waste.

Excellent organisational and communication.

**Part Time hours**: 20 hours per week (Mon-Fri 0900-1400)
