**Key Responsibilities and accountabilities**:

- Ensuring planned routes are in line with working time directive (WTD) and drivers’ hours and are maximised to full efficiency.
- Producing optimal transport plans and approving transport routes across our network, ensuring that the customer is at the centre of what we do.
- Assisting the operations team to ensure the department runs efficiently and effectively and supporting the wider department on projects, objectives, and achieving goals.
- Liaising and developing mutually respectful professional relationships with our drivers - they are the face of our business
- Ensuring the department complies with health and safety legislation and ensuring that our coaches are running within legal limits.
- Producing cost efficient operational transport plans daily.
- Ensuring the department provides a quality first class service to the customer though careful planning.

**Requirements**:

- Knowledge of transport legislation.
- Previous experience working in a planning environment.
- IT Literate - Excel and Word are essential.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Driven and self-motivated.
- Proactive problem-solving capability.
- Flexibility and adaptability.
- Able to work to deadlines and meet targets.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Team Player.

Salary of £28k DOE.
