**Job overview**:
We are excited to go out to advert for a Lead for Systemic & Family Psychotherapy within the Children & Young People's Eating Disorder Service (CYPEDS) in Cornwall. This post reflects the huge expansion we have seen within our service over the past 18 months. The purpose of this post is to lead on the Family Therapy & Family Based Treatment pathway within CYPEDS. The post holder will be expected to travel throughout the county to deliver Family Therapy interventions, as well as to provide live supervision and support to the systemic practitioners and other clinicians within our service. They will be expected to be involved in further service development and to lead on use of appropriate outcome measures within the pathway. They will be expected to link with the university to support trainees on placement, and to work alongside the wider Family Therapy network within CFT.

The post sits alongside the other clinical leads for CYPEDS; the lead for the individual pathway, and the lead for the CYPEDS Intensive Support & Liaison Service (COAST ED). It also sits alongside the overall Team Manager.

**Main duties of the job**:

- Providing high quality supervision to members of staff working within the evidence-based systemic treatment pathway within CYPEDS.
- Providing highly specialist systemic advice and consultation regarding formulations and treatment to the CYPEDS, wider NHS colleagues and external agencies.
- Providing specialist supervision, consultation, teaching, training to staff from external agencies (Education, Social Services, Family Services), many of whom are not psychotherapists so will require the adaption of key messages.
- Taking the lead on supervision of trainees within CYPEDS, particularly systemic psychotherapists up to Masters’ qualifying level.
- Contributing to the CPD training and development of other Cornwall Partnership Trust professionals, as agreed with the team manager.
- Developing, implement and audit services for families and to initiate and participate in future service developments. To contribute to the specialist evaluation, Routine Outcome Monitoring and development.
- Holding a clinical caseload of young people with moderate to severe, complex, and persistent relationship and mental health problems.
