West Yorkshire Police is looking to appoint a Medical Records Clerk to provide an efficient, confidential administration, clerical and reception service in support to the work of the staff of the Occupational Health Department
Brief summary of duties
Provide a comprehensive reception, booking appointments, directing calls and dealing with queries. To receive sort and distribute all departmental mail. To maintain and manage Practitioner diaries and facilitate smooth running of clinics. Input and retrieve information onto computerised systems and maintain the accuracy of medical files. Liaise with external medical practices to request further information. Liaise with other Occupational Health departments to obtain transferee medical records.
Key skills / experience required
RSA 11 Typing/word processing or equivalent
Extensive knowledge of and/or experience of using a range of computer based packages including word and excel
Previous clerical/administrative experience, ideally in a medical environment
Must be able to maintain confidentiality and an appropriate level of personal discretion
Knowledge of the Medical Records Act and GDPR
Has the ability to travel around the Force area
Has a full current UK/European driving licence
Has access to a motor vehicle and is prepared to use it for business purposes
