As a Payroll Clerk, you will be responsible for performing various payroll-related tasks to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee compensation. Your duties will include:

- Collecting, calculating, and entering payroll data into the system
- Reviewing timesheets and attendance records for accuracy
- Processing payroll on a regular schedule
- Distributing paychecks or direct deposits to employees
- Resolving payroll discrepancies and answering employee inquiries
- Generating payroll reports for management
- Assisting with year-end payroll activities, such as W-2 preparation

- Data entry: Accurate and efficient data entry skills are essential for processing payroll information.
- Analytical skills: You will need to analyze data and identify any discrepancies or errors in payroll records.
- HRIS knowledge: Familiarity with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) software, such as Workday or PeopleSoft, is preferred.
- Accounting software proficiency: Experience with accounting software, such as QuickBooks, is beneficial for managing payroll transactions.
- Knowledge of human resources processes: Understanding of HR processes related to payroll, benefits, and employment regulations is advantageous.
- Attention to detail: Payroll processing requires meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
