Job Title: Buyer
KAB Seating specialise's in the manufacture and supply of durable suspension seating. Our world leader status comes over 50 years of experience in seating design, development and manufacture.
**Where we need your help**
**What we need you to do**
- Identify cost saving opportunities by performing Supplier reviews, benchmarking, VAVE.
- Prepare tender specifications, review & evaluate offers.
- Agree terms of trade to optimize landed cost and inventory holding
- Represent CVG group in negotiating pricing and formulating policies with suppliers
- Analyse market, visit suppliers in the specified area of each commodity category and recommend management strategy
- Resolve supplier grievances and claims against suppliers
- Report on market conditions and material costs
- Support the operations team in ensuring that suppliers meet obligations in term of responsibilities performance and priorities to ensure un-disturbed production
- Support other departments and other sites to procure goods and services as necessary
- Maintain systems with data updates

Consistently delivers accurate, clear and concise messages orally and / or in writing to effectively share information. To ensure that the department and wider business receive a clear consistent message.
- Comes to an informed decision, considering at all the facts presented. Taking a logical approach and weighing all the advantages and disadvantages of your actions. Make decision that balance the business needs, cost and meet the Company’s statutory duties.
- Identifies what needs to be done and takes action to achieve the measurable outcomes. Works autonomously without the need for prompting from his or her Line Manager.
- Is able to work cooperatively with others to achieve The Company goals. Treats all team members with dignity, respect and maintains a sense of humour. Is not afraid to seek advice from others.
**Skills and Experience**:
- Relevant procurement experience with proven track record of working on complex procurement projects
- Experience of establishing & negotiating contracts and service agreements for the supply of good and services
- Experience of working in a manufacturing environment preferably within automotive, aerospace or a regulated environment
- Excellent time management skills, prioritising and the ability to handle a complex, varied workload
- Experience of using IT based systems to support decision-making.
- Educated to degree level or working towards e.g. MCIPS and/or appropriate professional experience
- Great communication, both written & verbal, to build & maintain professional working relationship
