Our client is seeking an experienced Finance Manager. As a member of our Strategic Leadership Team you will manage the budgets, funding and procurement.

You will manage a team of 2 and ensure the company is financially strong and give the company strong financial support and guidance.

You must have a relevant accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA together with extensive financial management experience.

**The role**:

- To be a trusted advisor to all stakeholders you will lead in all aspects of finance, playing a central role in the Leadership Team.
- Lead on the planning of finances including the development of a budget aligned to the Development Plan
- Development and management of plans for corrective action to address any budgetary or cashflow concerns with budget owners and appropriate timelines for resolution
- Ensure that the company maximises the use of resources and achieves value for money
- Lead, maintain and develop financial procedures which ensure that the company is compliant with all statutory financial requirements
- Ensure robust systems for quality controls including internal control procedures and other regulatory frameworks
- Development of a robust financial policy within that framework
- Monthly management reporting cycle including analysis on key variances, risks and potential opportunities
- Produce annual statutory accounts and to ensure that these are completed accurately and on time
- Liaise with auditors to ensure that the financial policies and procedures are compliant, lead on all remedial action required
- Development and management of plans for corrective action to address any budgetary or cash flow concerns with owners and appropriate timelines for resolution
- Lead tendering processes, ensuring compliance with European Union procurement thresholds
- Provide financial support, guidance to all stakeholders, including the regular monitoring of budgets at all levels

**The person**:

- ACA/ACCA or CIMA qualified
- Strong leadership skills
- Supervisory skills
- Extensive experience in a senior finance role
