**Description of Team / Department**:
Finance Business Partner Asphalt Role - integrated in Asphalt BL but with dotted line to Finance Director

**Purpose of / Responsibilities of the role**:
The role will have primary responsibility for the integrity of management reporting and financial control for Hanson through the delivery of advice, support and challenge working closely with the relevant Managing Director and senior managers. The role should identify opportunities for performance improvement and work closely with the management team to deliver the performance improvement.
- Develop the strategy for the business line in conjunction with the business line Managing Director
- Support the delivery of performance for Hanson
- Ensure the maintenance of effective business risk and control within the area of responsibility
- Ensure the management of appropriate planning and forecasting processes and systems
- Ensure the provision of accurate, relevant and timely financial and management information to support country and business line management
- Review, develop and provide analysis used in bonus related schemes within the business line
- Develop and maintain the standard costing process for use in the Aggregates business line and in the UK wide Integrated Margin calculations
- Aim to develop a sustainable won and lost pricing model for future use across the commercial team
- Active role in business line integration as part of the regional Working Together initiative

**Skills / Experience**:

- 5 yrs min experience
- Cross-functional / market understanding
- Increase efficiency and quality
- Drive profit generation / be straight forward and goal orientated
- Demonstrate drive and initiative, persuasion and negotiation skills
- Establish trust and relationships / enable teamwork
