**What will you be doing?**

In your role as Water Quality Specialist, you’ll be responsible for supporting the Operational Water Quality Team through interrogation and analysis of water sample data, online monitoring data from our telemetry systems, technical support, tracking and ensuring regulatory reporting deadlines are met, and liaison with other teams within the business.

**Day to day you’ll**
- Proactively review Water Quality trends in online monitoring or water sample results to identify areas for further investigation.
- Responsible for ensuring the regular review of the Operational Water Quality Alarms List and uploading amended documents on to the document management system.
- Responsible for updating the Water Quality aspects of the Bristol Water website., monitoring the Water Quality content available and its relevance.
- Collate and interrogate data for water quality compliance breach reports, event reports, information packs for Water Quality Inspections or audits.
- Track and report on regulatory reporting requirements such as legal instrument status, recommendation progress, and approaching deadlines, and liaise with relevant stakeholders on progress.
- Develop, implement and maintain water quality tracking dashboards for different areas of the supply system, e.g abstractions, water treatment works, network and tankers.
- Respond to customer lead requests and proactively monitor water quality through the supply system, reporting on evidence of actual or perceived deterioration in water quality with regards to lead.

**What we’re looking for**
- Ideally, you’ll have experience in Water Quality or another similar environment.
- A good understanding of the operation and maintenance of water treatment processes, water science, and water distribution networks, or similar industrial processes.
- An ability to understand and complete complex scientific calculations to optimise both quality and cost obligations.
- Confident and articulate verbal communication and an ability to influence.
- Strong IT skills (particularly in Power BI and Excel).
- An understanding of the regulatory framework associated with the water industry and water fittings regulations
- Full Valid UK Driving Licence.
