**What will you be doing?**
The position is a leading role, predominantly working in the field across the company area of supply. The Network Leakage Specialist is a passionate and technically experienced member of the team with a desire for further development, being the first point of contact for our Network Leakage field staff and responsible for providing technical guidance, support & leadership, to rectify all Active Leakage Control related activity as efficiently and safely as possible.
The Leakage Specialist will seek to maintain the continuous improvement of our Network by using their initiative, knowledge and experience when problem solving. They will also pro-actively seek opportunities to mentor, coach and multi-skill staff. Conducting risk assessment of sites to ensure that company requirements are met; these include site workmanship and feedback any concerns to the relevant Network Manager.
Under the guidance of the Leakage Delivery Manager introduce & develop pre-survey briefing meetings & post-survey feedback meetings / communication. Providing technical knowledge & expertise to develop next step Active Leakage Control activity or closure.
You’ll be out and about in our supply area ensuring that unreported leaks and bursts are detected to help reduce the level of water loss on our Network.
You’ll be responsible for the on-boarding and training of any new Leakage Inspectors and supporting the up skilling of the wider Network Inspector functions. Including job promotion & guidance in street works, traffic management and land entry etc.
You’ll be finding solutions to overcome problematic and on-going customer side leakage issues, liaising accordingly with both commercial and domestic customers and engaging appropriately with our approved contractors where relevant.
You’ll be training our in-house Leakage team in a range of leakage techniques and equipment to locate leaks throughout our Network and on our customer’s supplies. This role is the perfect opportunity for you to join us and be part of our industry leading Leakage team.

Individuals with a minimum of 3 years water industry experience ideally leakage related.
Due to business and operational requirements of the role, it’s worth noting you will need to live within close proximity of the Company’s area of supply and have a full driving licence.
The role will also include participation in a night work rota, with standby cover involvement, for which additional payments will be made.
There are also opportunities for overtime and weekend work to support our Leakage drive which again will include additional payments.
