Exciting chance to join expanding business, as a Buyer, contributing to the continuous improvement of function
**Your new role**
Role reports to the Senior Buying Manager, responsibilities include;
Supplier Management
- Day to day commercial management of the supplier base
- Product sourcing to include supplier prospecting, assessment of their pedigree, capability, customer base, price competitiveness, product quality, service levels etc
- Supplier Contracts, agreements and commercial terms (price, lead times, payment terms, delivery terms etc)
- Driving savings, working capital improvements and supply chain efficiencies through effective negotiation and procurement
- Variation of cost price movements by reference to changes in market indices (raw materials, exchange rates, freight rates), tracking these and reporting impact on business profitability

Project Management
- Project Management of new product introductions and resourcing activities, defining the critical path, working closely with all internal stakeholders to ensure key milestones and deliverables are met
- Leading regular project review meetings with the project team for your categories, preparing minutes and determining actions, and formally reporting progress to the business monthly

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Proven background of purchasing products - ideally from Far east - delivering results, cost savings and improvements
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a thorough and accurate approach to work
- Strong Project Management and problem solving skills
- Desirable if MCIPS or working towards
- ERP system experience also very beneficial
- Sourcing from a global supply base
