**I am currently supporting a fantastic organisation who are a dominant presence in the retail sector who require a Junior Buyer to join the team due to rapid growth.**
- Working collaboratively with suppliers and clients to manage the purchasing of goods and services whilst providing consultancy
- Monitoring of supplier performance as well as managing the relationship to ensure service delivery and cost savings
- Supporting the supply chain teams with stock management and ordering
- Conducting contract/pricing negotiations to acquire best quality products for best prices on a long term basis
- Acting as a point of contact for clients with orders, processing, shipping and general enquiries
- Taking part in auditing and reviews
- Work proactively across departments to drive profitability and constant growth in the categories managed
- Experience of working within a purchasing/procurement retail setting where you have conducted supplier negotiations
- Excellent communication - both verbal and written
- Keen eye for detail
- Ability to work individually but also within a small team to drive the implementation of new ideas and processes
- Ability to analyse market trends and data and report back to managers
- Highly organised - able to assist in managing end to end procurement's
- Motivated and driven to succeed and climb the procurement ladder for future promotions
- IT literate - MS Office/Excel, CRM systems to be trained on

**This role will be hybrid based with flexible working options to suit you work/life balance but please note that you must be able to commit to some office days in the Bedfordshire region.
