Job Description

Visa is seeking a highly motivated Events Planner to support planning and execution of select programmes within Europe, as well as oversee Visa Europe’s event management tools and processes.

The position requires a strong knowledge and experience with Cvent’s suite of tools, as well as superior organization and communication skills.

The role reports to the Director of Corporate Events in Europe.

**General Qualifications and Certifications**

**Cvent Administration**
- Responsible for oversight and administration of Visa Europe’s event management system (Cvent), including end to end process management (facilitation of event approvals, event classification and reconciliation) as well as data maintenance and reporting.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for event stakeholders in Europe and assist with questions related to the Cvent tools and event management process.
- Assist in developing best practices for the Cvent system.
- Manage ongoing data integrity and data cleanup for Europe events.
- Oversee the Corporate Events mailbox and manage Europe specific enquiries.
- Engage with Global Corporate Events team based in Foster City, CA.
- When needed, support the Global Cvent Project Manager in management of back-end system requirements.

**Event Logistics**

Assist the Director of Corporate Events in coordinating the planning, execution, onsite management, and post-event reconciliation of select flagship programmes. Lead project management and logistics for smaller events (from concept to completion) for various departments across Visa Europe. Responsibilities may include
Budget management
- Hotel/venue research & contracting in partnership with Visa’s preferred venue finding agency
- Venue management
- Virtual event technology
- Hotel accommodations
- Food and beverage
- Audio visual and production
- Attendee communications, registration management and mailbox management
- Event collateral
- Mobile app development
- Onsite delegate management and badging
- Onsite execution
- Post event reconciliation and event success metrics
- Post event survey

Qualifications

Education / Professional Credentials
- Bachelors degree required
- Cvent Professional Certification desirable
- 3-5 years of professional experience in corporate events planning or similar field

Required Functional Knowledge / Skills
- Demonstrated event management experience with strong project management, organizational

planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to work independently, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and prioritize

workload in a strict deadline-driven environment.
- Strong knowledge of Cvent’s online event management suite of tools including online registration
- Thorough and accurate - passionate commitment to quality - attention to detail and ability to

problem solve are critical. Confident managing large quantities of data.
- Must like working in a team environment. Events team will work together at times and will cover for

each other when away from the office.
- Must be self-sufficient, handle own correspondence, filings and follow all company policies.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including exceptional written and oral

communication.
- Ability to remain focused on project objectives and to remain calm and in control throughout all

phases of the event management cycle.
- Customer service-oriented approach with a track record of developing and maintaining

relationships with internal clients, vendors, hotels and other service providers.
- Exercises exceptional judgment and discretion regarding information which may be confidential,

material, and/or non-public.
- Job requires occasional overtime, travel and weekend work.
- Genuine passion to make a meaningful contribution to the Corporate Events team and its legacy.
