**What you'll do**

We’re looking for an experienced **Clerk of Works **(Kent region) who wants to make a difference and strives in a challenging, fast paced environment.

If you have a proven track record of managing buildings works across a wide range of sites to ensure quality, safety and timely completion of project deliverables, then a fabulous opportunity has arisen to join us as a** Clerk of Works - Property Services.**

Are you confident in regularly inspecting sites to check workmanship and standards of construction comply with quality controls and are compliant with the agreed materials, contract conditions, current legislation and are defect free?

You’ll have experience of planned, cyclical, and major works, such as roofing, structural, adaptions, windows, doors, electrical/gas inspections, and Kitchen and Bathroom upgrades?

You’ll carry out pre, post inspections, mid-term inspections and health & safety spot checks recommending corrective action where necessary?

You’ll attend sites and areas where contractors are carrying out works on behalf of OP, meet the required safety standards, and to take steps to remedy any health and safety issues as they arise. Record all health & safety incidents on OSHENS.

You’ll ensure contracts and works are formulated and delivered in a timely and cost-effective manner to agreed quality standards, value for money, statutory and regulatory legislation, health & safety compliance, ensuring high levels of customer and client satisfaction.

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity to join a growing, customer and colleague focussed organisation as we prepare for our merger with Southern Housing Group.

**What you'll need**

You’ll need to demonstrate a strong understanding of property condition surveys, analysing the survey data and preparing reports. You’ll also need to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of building construction and relevant legislations, defects identification and have the ability to write technical reports and schedules of works.

You’ll need to communicate answers and solutions confidently to customers/colleagues face to face, by phone and by writing in customer friendly language

In order to be shortlisted you’ll need to demonstrate

Experience as a tradesperson and/or Clerk of Works

Have an understanding of property condition surveys, analysing the survey data and preparing reports

Strong Oral and written communication

Customer care and service improvement

Attentive to detail when checking work and materials

**You must have a valid UK driving licence and access to your own Vehicle.**
