An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Public Dental Service (PDS) for a full time Oral Health Training Nurse to join our dynamic team.

We are looking for a highly organised, enthusiastic Dental Nurse to join our Team, to support delivery of high-quality dental care and advice to patients residing within Forth Valley.

The post holder will be an essential member of the Public Dental Service team and will work with the local dental teams to improve the oral and dental health of the local population.

The post holder will be required to support clinical care and also drive forward the Scottish Government’s Dental Action Plan Programme’s including Paediatric Oral Health Programme’s.

Working as part of the multidisciplinary team the post holder will visit establishments such as schools, Care Homes, Prisons, independent contractors and NHS Forth Valley Primary & Acute Care Departments across the Board area, to deliver awareness and training sessions for children and adults designed to improve oral health.

Your location will vary, determined by the needs of the service, therefore, the ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.

This post will also be considered as in training position under Annex 21 of the Agenda for Change terms & conditions.
