I am excited to be working with this manufacturing business to recruit their Engineering Manager. The company has experienced year on year growth over the last few years and they have exciting future plans with increased production. The Engineering Managerhas overall responsibility for the strategic and daily management of the team and the development and implementation of the engineering and maintenance methodologies and procedures to maximise the plant performance. You will also be responsible for the developmentand implementation of their UK Asset Care plan and be responsible for supporting and implementing new products and process project opportunities by completing CAPEX/engineering projects on time and in full.

Key Responsibilities include:

- To maintain plant, equipment, and buildings in good order by a mixture of planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance and project work.
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice production Engineering, planning, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.
- Develop a high performing team which can grow with the business, encouraging health; safety & environment 'bestpractice' across all areas.
- Drive a 'continuousimprovement’ culture throughout the team and creates an appetite for the same throughout other business functions.
- Takes responsibility for the delivery and budgetary control of capital spend on site. The commissioning and installing of new equipment in line with company budgets as well as environmental and H&S considerations.
- The co-ordination and implementation of a business wide Asset Care Plan.
- Leads teams in the development of and completion of new products, solutions, and process projects on time and within budget.
- Provide project plan as part of the senior leadership team for approval including scope, cost, timelines, risk, quality issues and communications.
- Have daily agile-driven, open communications with the Engineering and Asset Care Team based on objective data.
- Determines new products and process project specifications by researching and studying customer requirements, product design and performance standards of different type of assets to optimise the process.
- Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan, scheduling changes, and recommending actions
- Communicate with stakeholders, updating regularly on progress and ensure projects still align with changing company objectives.
- Develop skills matrix and training material for the Engineering and Asset Care team and supporting talent development and succession planning.
