**Our client is a leading food manufacturer, that values hard work, teamwork and developing people. They are part of a larger group with multiple sites in the UK, this is for one of their newest manufacturing plant, where they are looking for an experiencedengineering team leader to work both hands-on and lead a small team of engineers day to day.**
**Role & Responsibilities**:
- Responsible for reactive & planned maintenance across all areas of engineering
- Electrical & mechanical fault finding / problem solving on machinery/equipment
- Supervising and guidance of a small team of engineers - setting standards, health & safety management, workload allocation, PPM scheduling, RTW's, RAM's, contractor control
- Project work - machine upgrades and new equipment installations
- Working on high-speed food production lines, processing & packaging machinery
- Carry out PPM schedules and update records
- Maximising efficiencies and production output
- Responsible for anything engineering related on site - site services, facilities, lighting etc.
- Working on motors, pneumatics, PLC's, inverters, sensors, control panels, gearboxes
**Knowledge, Skills & Experience**:
- Must have electrical & mechanical qualifications
- Ideally a multi-skilled engineer with an electrical biased
- Working in a close-knit site where everyone helps out in all areas
- Previously have led a small team of multi-skilled engineers
- Experienced in strategic workload allocation, PPM scheduling, health & safety, RTW's, RAM's
- Happy to be both hands-on with the team and hands-off completing paperwork & admin tasks
- Must be a flexible character, assist with shift cover if needed and on-call duties
- Food / FMCG experience in preferable
- PLC - electrical fault finding skills
- Ideally apprentice trained or be a time-served maintenance engineer
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Able to work well under pressure to strict deadlines
- Have a proven track record in a similar maintenance engineering role
- Flexible to work on anything engineering related - site services, facilities, lighting etc.
