An exciting opportunity has arisen within Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust for people with lived experience of Personality and Complex Trauma (PACT) and/or secondary mental health services to join our Recovery and Wellbeing Academy as an Academy Tutor, specialising in PACT and Trauma informed care.

**We have two vacancies**: one specialising in Personality and Complex Trauma (PACT - 22.5 hours) and one in Trauma Informed Care (TIC - 30 hours). The PACT post holder will support with key training facilitation relevant to PACT experience and link with the new PACT Pathway, enabling seamless support from both services. The TIC post holder will support with the roll out of all of the Academy courses and also support with the roll out of internal and external training specialising in Trauma Informed Care. There is an expectation to deliver training across the geographical area of Coventry and Warwickshire.

By using your own experience of Personality and Complex Trauma and/or secondary mental health services and recovery, you will be a positive role model in helping to shape understanding, inspire, motivate, guide and support our people. You will evidence and show visible recovery; showing that change is possible and giving a strong message of hope.
- To plan and create training course presentations and materials, acting upon feedback from students and ensuring contents is up-to-date with latest research
- To identify methods of training delivery that will promote the courses and seek ways of maximising attendance.
- To ensure all documentation is completed accurately during every training course. Registers are appropriately signed throughout the training sessions, are collected along with other relevant correspondence and processed appropriately.
- To support the Recovery Academy Lead in monitoring and evaluating the outcome of the training programmes; making recommendations that will enhance the curriculum further.
- To keep personal skills and knowledge up to date in line with current legislation and evidence based practice. Reflect updates in revisions to the training materials and / or delivery.
- To be responsible for the effective running of training courses in the classroom and classroom management, including room layout.
- To ensure the training rooms are left tidy and secure.
- To use your lived/life experience to inform sessions and courses you design and deliver and to model the Recovery Academy ethos

This Post has the possibility to be a band 4 development post if you do not meet the person specification criteria, moving to a band 5 once competencies are met. We are passionate about supporting people to develop and gain skills and qualifications to be able to become the best Tutor in our team.

This is an ideal opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive environment as you will work alongside experienced senior staff and receive regular management and role specific supervision within the service. There will be a range of internal and external training opportunities to utilise.

Communication
- The post holder will be required to develop and maintain communication networks with people both internal and external to the trust, fostering partnership working for learning opportunities.
- To have excellent written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
- To communicate effectively with a range of line managers, people who use mental health services, carers, professionals and VCS Agencies
- To have good persuasive and reassurance skills
- To have the ability to develop and maintain sound working relationships with all members of the multidisciplinary teams and work with all directorates to create relevant courses to support CWPT delivery
- To be aware of professional roles within the therapeutic relationship
- Must be professional in appearance and behaviour
- To have skills to effectively deal with conflict and to help others to do so
- Good team-working skills
- To share ideas about ways of achieving Recovery goals, drawing on personal experiences and a range of coping, self-help and self-management techniques
- To model personal responsibility, self-awareness, self-belief, self-advocacy and hopefulness.
- Must have experience of being in a supportive and enabling role
- Ability to share personal story of recovery in a professional manner
- Ability and willingness to reflect on work practice and be open to constructive feedback
- The post holder will be required to motivate delegates attending training sessions and act as a role model.
- To deal with correspondence within own responsibility and to effect timely relay or escalation of issues outside the scope of the post.
- The ability to change from one activity to another due to interruptions.
