To communicate effectively with a range of line managers, people who use mental health services, carers, professionals and VCS Agencies To have good persuasive and reassurance skills To have the ability to develop and maintain sound working relationships with all members of the multidisciplinary teams and work with all directorates to create relevant courses to support CWPT delivery To be aware of professional roles within the therapeutic relationship Must be professional in appearance and behaviour To have skills to effectively deal with conflict and to help others to do so Good team-working skills To share ideas about ways of achieving Recovery goals, drawing on personal experiences and a range of coping, self-help and self-management techniques To model personal responsibility, self-awareness, self-belief, self-advocacy and hopefulness. Must have experience of being in a supportive and enabling role Ability to share personal story of recovery in a professional manner Ability and willingness to reflect on work practice and be open to constructive feedback The post holder will be required to motivate delegates attending training sessions and act as a role model.

To deal with correspondence within own responsibility and to effect timely relay or escalation of issues outside the scope of the post. The ability to change from one activity to another due to interruptions. Co-plan, co-deliver and co-evaluate education activities related to groups of learners with multiple, complex and diverse needs, including people with mental health problems, carers and supporters, professionals and other members of the public. Analytical and Judgemental Skills / Freedom to Act To have lived experience of mental health problems and have experience of recovering a meaningful life and sharing this in a professional well-tailored way Ability to work in an enabling and creative way To have a good understanding and practical knowledge of recovery To have a good understanding of the issues and concerns of mental health service users To have good understanding of the impact of stigma and discrimination To have a some knowledge of Mental Health Legislation To have good knowledge of local policies in respect of safeguarding children and the protection of vulnerable adults and act on these accordingly Ensuring public protection by following all Trust and Recovery Academy safeguarding procedures, To act as an ambassador for the Trust with external agencies and partner organisations.

Excellent attention to detail and is accurate and reliable. To prioritise and meet tight deadlines whilst working in a flexible manner to changing priorities. Willingness and ability to work in a flexible manner to changing priorities. Confidence in making decisions when dealing with competing priorities.

To keep relevant information pertaining to individual lesson plans, education and training packages. Attend regular departmental and team meetings Physical Skills Experienced PC and keyboard User skills. The post holder will need to travel within the service area, as required To safely manoeuvre teaching equipment to various classroom To offer support to our partner organisations and promote the Academy at their planned events. Represent the Recovery & Wellbeing Academy and organisation at internal as well as external meetings To provide support to the co-planning and co-delivery of Recovery Academy courses and workshops across inpatient and community services To use good IT skills to develop PowerPoint presentations and other learning materials To develop course materials and course packs To understand and support the registering and meeting individual learning needs for all students attending the Academy To take responsibility to organise and transport all required learning materials and outcome forms, get the outcomes completed by students and input them on the enrolment system.

Able to set-up and use Audio visual equipment. Ensure rooms are cleared away following practical sessions. To assist with exhibitions and displays, including mounting/framing finished work and moving display boards. Responsibility for Patients/Clients/Students To keep students discussions confidential unless there is cause for concern.

To help people identify their own recovery goals. To be actively leading in the continued development of the Peer worker/volunteer training programme and in the ongoing evaluation of the role. To be aware of and use safeguarding policy Take the lead on safeguarding issues that arise during training, escalate issues where appropriate and document this in line with trust policy.
