We are looking for a highly motivated scientist to join our group to understand the contributions of non-coding RNAs to the life cycle of tumour-associated viruses, namely Epstein-Barr virus, Kaposi sarcoma herpesvirus, and human cytomegalovirus. This project aims to reveal functions and mechanisms of infection-induced circular RNA, a novel player in the virus-host interaction, on virus infection, propagation, immune evasion, and tumorigenesis. To this end, we will employ interdisciplinary approaches in virology, RNA biology, immunology, and bioinformatics.

This post is advertised as full-time (35 hours per week), however, we are open to considering flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote (e.g. data analysis) and regular on-campus working. Initial appointment will be 12 months but can be extended to a multi-year contract.
