**Job Summary**:We are seeking a temporary Quality Controller to join our team to assist during our busy summer months. You will be responsible for ensuring that products have been tested and sampled, and that the product being packed meets with the correct standards and requirements.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

Ensuring the quality of product being packed meets correct specification and if not highlight issues and discuss options for improvement with the operational team to then meet the customers’ requirements.

Collect and complete product, ingredient and packaging testing and samples as per specification, processing parameters, work instructions and/or customer requirements.

Complete paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.

Follow site operating procedures and work instructions to meet company and customer requirements.

Complete daily start up checks and hygiene checks.

Keep washrooms stocked with correct PPE and area clean.

Ensure staff follow correct changing procedures.

Being fully aware of all procedures and work instructions and how to carry out according to these procedures and work instructions as and when requested.

Training of operators as and when required.

Complete other reasonable requests from Line Manager.

Report non-conforming production to the Technical Manager and Operational Managers

Working alongside the Operational Teams to ensure product is to specification and despatched on time.

During customer visits demonstrate check procedures and explain what and why as required.

**Health and Safety**

Promote and support a safe working environment and foster a culture of ‘safety first’

Ensure that all H&S policies are adhered to.

**Temporary position**: Up until end of season (around October)

**Job Types**: Temporary contract, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 4 months

Pay: £12.25 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
