**Position: Bank Support Worker**
As a Bank Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in providing practical and emotional support to young people within our supported living accommodation. You will be responsible for fostering a safe and inclusive environment, promoting independence, and assisting residents in developing essential life skills.

We cannot always predict the exact staffing levels we will require, and we therefore require bank workers because of the fluctuating demands of the business. All of our bank team members are paid the same as our contracted team members; receive paid holidays; and receive the same training and benefits as our contracted team members.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Building meaningful relationships with residents based on trust, respect, and empathy.
- Providing practical support with daily living tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, and personal care.
- Assisting residents in accessing educational, vocational, and recreational activities.
- Implementing individualised support plans and goals in collaboration with residents and the support team.
- Advocating for the rights and needs of residents while promoting independence and self-advocacy.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation as required.

**Essential Criteria**:

- Be suitable to work with children and young people - the role involves working with children and young people and it involves safeguarding responsibilities.
- **Qualifications**: A relevant Level 3 Diploma (e.g., Diploma in Residential Childcare) or equivalent qualification.
- **Experience**: Previous experience in a similar role or working with vulnerable children and young people with an understanding of relevant legislation and best practice guidelines.
- **Regulatory Compliance**: Knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding procedures, and health and safety requirements within the newly regulated setting.
- **Teamwork**: Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, external agencies, and stakeholders to achieve shared goals and objectives.
- **Flexibility**: Willingness to work on a shift basis, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, as required.
- **Resilience**: Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations, demonstrating resilience and professionalism at all times.

**Desirable Criteria**:

- **Additional Qualifications**: Training or qualifications in areas such as first aid, therapeutic interventions, or mental health support.
- **IT Skills**: Competency in using IT systems and software for record-keeping, reporting, and communication purposes.

**Salary**: £12.55 per hour
