**WHAT TO EXPECT**

We are looking to appoint a talented individual who is adept with working with financial information. You won’t need to be qualified in finance, just familiar and confident at working with budgetary information.
This is an opportunity to collaborate with our management team at all levels. It’s a role that can act as a great springboard for future career development and growth with JLR.
This opportunity is accountable to the Team Leader of the Powertrain Business Operations team with a dotted line to our Chief Engineer.

**Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities**
- This Business Operations Lead role is responsible for gathering budgetary requirement and accurate forecasts associated to yearly expenditure for our engineering community
- You’ll get to facilitate the spend approval in forums and ensure timely issue of purchase orders to suppliers. You’ll also get to support senior budgetary reviews (preparing data and presentation material)
- You’ll also get to coordinate and deliver operational processes for the Business Operations team in support of deliverables aligned to meet strategic objectives
- You’ll maintain the overall budget plan for the department and be responsible for the submission of weekly spend requirements
- Finally, this opportunity will get to present a summary budget status at weekly management budget meetings

**WAT YOU’LL NEED**
- We are looking for previous experience in a business processes or financial environment with financial literacy (an understanding of principles of commitment / expenditure / cashflow / accruals)
- Good MS Office suite: Word, PowerPoint and Excel and experience of Google tools
- Ability to work accurately and against fixed deadlines
- This role depends on someone having the confidence and tenacity to collaborate at senior management level - good engagement and communication skills are key

**Additional Information**

This role does offer a hybrid working model however due to business demands you may on occasion need to attend meetings on days you would not have normally come into the office.
Interview will take place week commencing 11th December 23
