Tazaki Foods Ltd is currently recruiting for a **Traceability & Stock Control Monitor** on a full time basis, to work Monday to Friday from 07:00 - 16:00. The salary on offer is between £23,000 - £25,000 plus 28 days holidays including bank holidays (increasing up to 35 days with length of service), free secured parking, pension auto enrolment with up to 5% Employer contribution, Life Assurance, Staff discount together with continuous developments and long term career prospects and social events throughout the year.

**The role**

Stock control is one of the most vital parts of our business, ensuring the accurate tracking and movement of over 2000 lines which are collectively worth on average over £8m. There is no more valuable single asset to the business than its stock and not surprisingly, it is one of the most closely watched areas of the business by our shareholders. As a food company the traceability of this stock, by batch and Best Before Date (BBD) is equally important. We need to ensure that the stock locations accurately match the computer records so that we can have complete confidence in our records and so that when questions occur we have accurate historical data demonstrating our due diligence.

Each month, we receive around 160 orders from our suppliers and pick over 8000 orders, which represent more than 60,000 lines of stock movements. Each time stock is moved there is the chance of a mistake being made, which directly affects our bottom line and could cause issues with our traceability. Only by regular and meticulous attention to our stock accuracy can mistakes be minimised and the management have confidence in the accuracy of our stockholding. As part of the stock control team it will be your task to help ensure that our stock system is accurate.

**Key Tasks/ Responsibilities**:

- **Incoming Stock Control.**
- Tazaki Foods Warehouse Goods Receipt
- Check all BBDs, Product Codes, temperature, visual appearance & quantities at the point stock is received into the warehouse against Goods Received Note (GRN) and Purchase Order (PO) documents.
- Confirm that the Goods In team have recorded the BBDs correctly through random checks on each product and that the system reflects the actual stock received in terms of BBD, batch, location stored and quantity after receipt is complete.
- External Warehouse Goods Receipt
- Check all BBDs Product Codes & quantities against Goods Received Note (GRN) and Purchase Order (PO) documents and notification from 3rd party warehouse.
- For each Purchase Order received file traceability documents, including internal GRN, outside warehouse GRN, Photos of BBDs, Manager sign-off.
- **Warehouse BBD & Stock Management.**
- Check BBDs in pick faces match the system through daily pick face checks.
- Ensure returned stock BBDs are valid and returned to the correct location both physically and on the system.
- Check stock reports from all supermarket warehouses and confirm against internal system records.
- Confirm all supermarket warehouse dispatches match sales order records.
- Check pickers are picking the products and BBDs specified on the order through daily random checks of picks as they are being picked, report any discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager.
- Check replenishment drivers are moving the BBDs specified on their job through daily random checks of movements as they are being replenished. Confirm that the movements, including BBDs are logged onto the system correctly, report any discrepancies to the Stock Controller.
- Check BBDs in high bays match the system through random checks.
- **Any other tasks mandated by the Stock Controller or senior management.**

**5 Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)**

The following measures will be used to evaluate your performance:

- Elimination of system BBD corrections (target 0 corrections).
- Improvement in BBD picking errors (target 0 BBD picking errors).
- Reduction in rotation count adjustments (numerical target to be confirmed).
- Supermarket service level indicators matching or better than customer requirements.
- Fork lift truck licenses (Reach, Counter-balance, Flexible), Scissor lift license.
- A meticulous attention to detail and a dogged determination to ensure that processes are followed correctly.
- Solid mathematical skills.
- Confidence in computer systems and handheld devices, especially Microsoft Excel.
- Reliability and flexibility.
- A pro-active approach in looking for ways in which systems and processes can be improved and a desire to develop with the Company on a long term basis.
