- WHAT YOU WILL DO- Liaise with suppliers and their freight forwarders to ensure that compliant documentation is received.
- Ensure that compliant evidence is held to substantiate preference duty rate claims.
- Create import and export instructions using available information including The UK Trade Tariff.
- Assist fast parcel operators and groupage freight operators with import entry information.
- Log and file supplier documentation and instructions.
- Ensure copies of all declarations are received and checked for accuracy.
- Obtain evidence for export shipments.
- Assist with reconciling monthly data from HMRC.
- WHAT YOU BRING ALONG- Previous Customs experience essential in this role.
- Extensive knowledge of import and export documentation handling.
- Confidence to communicate with various stakeholders both internal and external.
- A keen eye for attention to detail and the ability to complete administration tasks accurately.
- Excellent IT and systems knowledge.
