Ophthalmology Rota Co-ordinator

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a fast paced and vibrant team. Supporting the Ophthalmology Directorate across all sites (St Richards, and Southlands hospitals) the successful post-holder will ensure appropriate medical and clinical cover in our Ophthalmology theatres and clinics on a daily basis.
This is a vital role in helping our teams and services deliver excellent care for our patients.
Junior Doctor Rota Management
The Ophthalmology Rota Coordinators' key responsibilities lie within planning and managing the consultant and junior doctor rotas. This role will involve working closely with the clinical teams and operational management team to ensure the rotas are compliant with service delivery. The Ophthalmology Rota Coordinator work proactively to source cover for gaps on the rota for clinic and theatre cover. Responsibilities include managing rota and capacity gaps, escalating and supporting the actions to address.
You will be based at St Richards or Southlands hospitals, with some cross-site travel required.

The Ophthalmology rota coordinator has responsibility for planning and managing the consultant and junior doctor rotas. This role will involve working closely with the operational management team to ensure the rotas are compliant in delivering service requirements and managing capacity gaps.
