There are 3 Gweres Teyluyow teams, based in each of our areas, (East, Mid and West) made up of Team Managers, Social Workers, Family Workers and Functional Family Therapy Child Welfare (FFT CW) Therapists, including a Senior Functional Family Therapist who oversees and co-ordinates the delivery of the model. These multi-disciplinary teams provide intense support, often when families are approaching crisis. These teams also have access to support from Clinical Psychologists.

Functional Family Therapy is an evidence-based family therapy intervention that builds on the existing strengths of family relationships including the child's wider family. FFT CW works with a range of tools to enable families who often have complex and challenging needs to adopt new choices and behaviours.

We now have a vacancy for an FFTCW therapist in the West Gweres Teyluyow team.

If you would like to work more therapeutically with traumatised families then training to become an FFT CW therapist provides the opportunity to develop these therapeutic skills.

Whilst the location/work-base for this role may have been specified our evolving ways of working means that the role may require you to also work remotely (e.g., from home/other locations). We will discuss this with you during the recruitment process.
