Overview:
**Responsibilities**:
**General**
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practice to ensure training content remains current and relevant.
- Collaborate with Head of L&D to implement a comprehensive learning and development strategy aligned with the firm's goals.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to understand their training needs and provide ongoing support
- Support L&D team with L&D strategic projects taking the lead where necessary/appropriate.
- Collaborate with external training providers, universities, and professional bodies to leverage external expertise and resources.
- Assist in the design and implementation of career development frameworks, competency models, and succession planning initiatives.
- Support Head of L&D in the monitoring and management of the L&D budget, ensuring cost-effective delivery of training programs and resources.
**Internal training**
- Design and develop innovative and engaging **skills training programmes** tailored to the needs of our legal professionals and central teams to cover professional and business skills and compliance and regulatory requirements. Head of L&D would manage senior programmes
- partners FLP, Directors etc and trainees/SQE.
- Work with members of the firm to support them in delivery of training sessions that form part of our internal skills programmes.
- Deliver high-quality skills training sessions, workshops, and seminars to junior lawyers and central team staff, both in-person and virtually.
- Work with L&D coordinator to create and maintain a library of training materials, resources, and e-learning modules to support ongoing learning initiatives.
- Support Head of L&D with training needs assessments to identify skill gaps and develop appropriate training solutions.
- Utilise various instructional techniques and adult learning principles to ensure effective knowledge transfer and skill development.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics, and make necessary improvements making use of LMS as appropriate.
**Client training**
- Work with BD teams, Client Partners (and wider client team) and Knowledge Lawyers to design and develop innovative and engaging **skills training programmes** tailored to the needs of our clients as part of our Key Client Programme.
Work with members of the firm to support them in delivery of training sessions that form part of our key client training programmes.
Essential & Desirable Criteria:
- Bachelor's degree and/or CIPD professional qualifications is desirable.
- Proven experience as an L&D specialist with strong training skills (preferably within a law firm or legal environment but not essential)
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire learners.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to adapt to different audiences.
- Experience in designing and delivering a variety of training methods, including e-learning, workshops, and on-the-job training.
- Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and other training software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify training needs and develop effective solutions.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise tasks effectively.
