"I worked as a Teacher for many years, but as I reached retirement age, I still wanted to work in the community. I just wish I had made the move sooner. I love my job, its part-time, so I have plenty of time to spend with my Grandchildren. I have a smallnumber of clients, who have become good friends. I cannot believe I get to do this as "a job" My client visits vary, some are housebound, we offer them support within their home, do a food shop, and keep the home tidy. One of my ladies likes me to run hera bath, help her get in and out and wash her hair. One client just enjoys my company, and we have tea and cake and a good natter. I have a client, who I support with his journey living with dementia, we spend lots of time reminiscing and singing. I help keephim safe at home and prepare his meals." **Karen, Paid Volunteer, Befriender & Care Companion.**
