Job Title: Ward Clerk

**Duties**:

- Answering and directing phone calls using the hospital's phone system
- Greeting and assisting patients, visitors, and staff in a professional and friendly manner
- Maintaining patient records and ensuring accuracy of information
- Scheduling appointments and coordinating patient transportation as needed
- Assisting with admissions, discharges, and transfers of patients
- Managing paperwork and documentation related to patient care
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure smooth operations in the ward
- Maintaining confidentiality of patient information at all times

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Compassionate and empathetic towards patients and their families
- Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus

1. 4 GCSE’s at Grades A-C including English Language or equivalent/higher qualification

**OR**

1 years’ experience in a clerical/administrative role

2. Experience in the use of Microsoft Office Word, or equivalent
