Clinical Support Facilitator post - Band 6

This is a unique and exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, experienced paediatric Nurse with considerable skill in adolescent nursing and experience across the specialities that we cover on Apollo 35. If you have an ability and motivation to teach others to perform skills safely, it may be time to join the Clinical Support Facilitator (CSF) team in a permanent post which provides an opportunity to develop your skills as an educator

Working with other established CSF's, you will be responsible for developing and delivering education related to your chosen field of practice with a particular focus on enabling RCNs, IENs, TNAs, HCSW and Mental Health HCSW to continue to develop their knowledge and skills in adolescent nursing across the specialties of surgical, general medical, orthopaedic, mental health and haematology and oncology.

You will be supported by existing members of the CSF team who are experienced educators and can facilitate your development and supported by the faculty of children's nurse education.

You should have good communication skills, together with the ability to manage your own workload and work to deadlines. A desire to work using simulation within the clinical environment would be preferable as well. Evidence of a post-graduate teaching & learning course is preferred..

The overall purpose of the Clinical Support Facilitator role is to support the development of the paediatric clinical inter-professional team, as part of the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children (BRHC) and Trust education structure. You will be responsible for supporting new members to the ward / department nursing teams to develop their skills, knowledge,
competence and confidence in the care of infant and children. This will include the delivery of paediatric clinical skills, preceptorship, induction and dynamic practice development programmes aimed to support clinical workforce development priorities such as evidenced based clinical practice across practice and ensuring clinical competency sign off for ward/department Nursing staff.
