Scotland's Railway is part of this large family, and it covers a large geographical area from the Borders to Thurso at the far tip of the North East of Scotland, accounting for almost 20 per cent of the UK rail network. We provide rapid access along busy commuter routes to our seven cities, servicing the varied needs of our business and leisure commuter services, including cross border services and rural services. We have up to 50 freight services operating every day and we are steadily building capacity for this to grow. **Brief Description**:
We are recruiting for an Assistant Information Controller for the Information Management Team within Capital Delivery Scotland’s Railway, based in Glasgow.

As Assistant Information Controller you will be responsible for integrating Bentley Infrastructure Cloud systems, for Information Management and modelling e.g., ProjectWise and AssetWise and provide further support for internal and external users. You will help maintain project information and documentation, consistent with Network Rail and other national standards and processes.

It is an exciting time to join our team, as we have recently agreed a new Building Information Modelling (BIM) for Scotland’s Railway (BIM4SR) Digital Transformation Programme and are looking for enthusiastic, forward-thinking colleagues to come on board to support the programme.

The Capital Delivery Head of Engineering has established digital transformation goals for the next 12 months as part of our readiness for CP7 and continuous improvement for remainder of CP6. This has included the establishment of a BIM4SR Digital Transformation Steering Group which has endorsed a draft vision “Our digital vision is that we continuously adopt sustainable digital solutions for the efficiency of Scotland's Railway”. A Supply Chain BIM4SR Digital Transformation Community of Practice (COP) has also been established with our Tier 1 suppliers and the COP will support identification and delivery of efficiencies for CP7. This role will directly support delivery of a range of efficiency driven digital transformation projects within the BIM4SR Digital Transformation Programme.

**About the role (External)**:
**Here are some of the duties your role will include: -**
- Support the existing set up and any upgrades of the Bentley Systems across Scotland e.g. ProjectWise and AssetWise
- Provide support, advice and supervision of general users and project teams to enable consistent use of the CDE (Common Data Environment).
- Act as local Administrator (CDE technical support), to enable full support of the project lifecycle, mitigating any system and transactional/work-flow issues:

- Maintain and communicate all Information Management processes and procedures, as they develop with internal/external project teams.
- Support Information Controller and take initiative where necessary.

a. Monitor user administration processes.

b. Resolve queries using initiative and liaise with the IM team where required.

c. Organise and deliver briefing/training and refresher sessions to internal and external users of the system.

d. Provide support with the creation of documents for project teams.

e. Creating user accounts and reporting on system usage i.e Active/Inactive accounts

f. Produce and maintain document templates and attributes lists.

g. Deal with requests in accordance with procedures and SLAs.

h. Enforce systems security by creating and maintaining security profiles and running security audits. i.e. 90 day account deactivation reports.

i. Responsible for managing the IM shared inbox.

j. Channel feedback, new requirements and suggestions from users for the CDE.
