Financial Controller Assistant

Rutherford Cross is pleased to be working exclusively with our manufacturing client based outside Glasgow to appoint an interim assistant financial controller for a 4-6 month period.
Key Responsibilities:- Accounting Management Support: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, tax forms, and reports in compliance with official guidelines and requirements.
- Internal Controls and Policies: Assist in the formulation of internal controls and policies to ensure compliance with legislation and established best practices.
- Financial Audits and Reporting: Participate in the preparation for the annual audit, review accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances, and ensure accounting practices are in compliance with legal guidelines.
- Financial Systems and Records: Utilize accounting IT systems to facilitate processes and maintain records, collaborate with the IT department to create a system to maintain financial records, and reconcile accounts.
- Payroll, Invoices, and VAT: Deal with payroll, invoices, expenses, and VAT, and produce financial forecasts.
The role is hybrid with 3 days per week on-site and 2 WFH.
